ORDER OF EVENTS ANNOUNCED AS LASPOTECH HOLDS ITS 23RD CONVOCATION

The Governing Council, Members of the Academic board, the Rector, Dr Lawal Abioye and the entire management of the Lagos State Polytechnic, wishes to announce to Graduand's and members of the public, that the order of events for the 23rd Convocation Ceremonies has been approved and would hold as follows:

A.) Convocation Press Conference
Date: Thursday, 2nd April, 2015.
Time: 10:00am
Venue: Council Chambers, Ikorodu Campus.
B.) (A.) Convocation Special Prayer for Graduands
Date: Thursday, 2nd April, 2015.
Time: 12:00 noon
Venue: Ikorodu Campus Mosque
(i.) Convocation Interdenominational Service
Time: Thursday, 2nd April, 2015.
Time: 12:00 noon
Venue: SM and BS Auditorium, Ikorodu Campus.
C.) 23rd Convocation Lecture
Date: Tuesday, 7th April, 2015.
Time: 12:00 noon
Venue: SM and BS Auditorium, Ikorodu Campus.
D.) (i.) Convocation Rehearsals (All Academic Processions and Graduands)
Date: Wednesday, 8th April, 2015.
Time: 10:00 am Prompt
Venue: School of Agriculture Auditorium, Ikorodu Campus
(ii.) Convocation Variety Show / Drama Presentations (by Mass Communication Department)
Date: Wednesday, 8th April, 2015.
Time: 12:00 noon – 3:00 pm
Venue: SM and BS Auditorium, Ikorodu Campus.
(iii.) Convocation Football Match
Date: Wednesday, 8th April, 2015.
Time: 4:00 pm – 6:00
Venue: Football Field, Ikorodu Campus.
E.) A. Convocation Ceremony
Date: Thursday, 9th April, 2015.
Time: 10:00 am Prompt
Venue: School of Agriculture Auditorium, Ikorodu Campus.
i. Convocation Lunch
Date: Thursday, 9th April, 2015.
Venue: Polytechnic Field.
Collection of Convocation Package
Each graduand is expected to collect his/her academic gown from the School Offer from Monday, 30th March, 2015 to Thursday, 2nd April, 2015, between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm after the presentation of relevant receipt.
Academic gown collected should be return in good conditions, immediately after the ceremony or by Monday, 13th April, 2015. Any graduands who holds on to the academic gown beyond 13th April, 2015 would be liable to a fine of Five Thousand naira (N5,000) for the default.
Also any graduands who loses OR damages the academic gown would pay Ten Thousand, naira (N10,000) as replacement fee.
Please note that, non – return of academic gown will lead to non – issuance of students’ Certificate of completion of programme of study.
General Information for Graduands
Each graduand will be issued 2 invitation cards, which will be available for collection from Wednesday, 1st April, 2015 between 10:00am and 4:00 pm from school Officers. An invitation card admits One guest only to the convocation.
It is mandatory for all graduands to participate in the academic procession and wear the approved academic gown.
All graduands, parents and guest should be seated by 9:30 am
Note
Graduands should also be inform that Certificates are ready for collect after the Convocation Ceremonies.
All National Youth Service Corps state secretariats in the are requested to please release serving graduands to attend the ceremony.
