Religious Police In Kano Destroys Thousands Of Beer Bottles

The Kano State Hisbah Board in a statement released today says, it has destroyed 326,151 bottles of beer out of the 363, 853 it confiscated from members of the public in the past three years.

A Saudi Arabian blogger has been publicly flogged after being convicted of cybercrime and insulting Islam, BBCreports. Raif Badawi, who was sentenced to 1,000 lashes and 10 years in jail, was flogged 50 times.

A Lagos traditional ruler, Baale Abeeb Lawal, who heads Ikolalumo in Meiran/Ajasa command area Lagos state, has brutally assaulted his wife over a phone conversation on New Year day. It was said that he gave his wife a signal to end a phone conversation she was currently on, but she thought he asked her to lower her voice, so she did.
